Most Americans are oblivious to this slanting of right and left. Americans are taught that journalists are to adhere to integrity standards which suppose to ensure they are nuetral or adhering to facts and not opinion. What most do not understand is that you can still write something with all the facts, but do so in a way that slants are disguised.
Unless an American is aware of this bias, or the motives of those who have a vested interest in what they're reading they'd never know. It's why I always consider who the owner of the publication or medium is prior to accepting it for fair reporting. It's why China's President Xi and Russia's President Putin trust what I have to say. Because I do not have a vested interest in either.
I'm as nuetral of an observer one can be really. To me it doesn't make difference either way. Whom or what is reported is immaterial, what I care about is the power dynamic. Who has the power and who does not and I usually side with the one out of power.
