My University's Recent Athletic Performance Helped Convince Me of the Script

I love my alma mater: Oklahoma. But watching them as of late, caused me to realize just how scripted our way of life actually is. It helped me realize that what we see before our eyes has already been planned for us by an Oligarchy no one elected. Same with professional sports, so why watch it? Or get your hopes up or so invested in the outcomes?
Wasted energy. I'm not sure what the solution is to ensure human agency is returned to humans, but something is woefully wrong and I feel like I live in the twilight zone. So, I've lost all interest in sports for the most part. Who cares if someone can merely buy the outcome one seeks. If someone can pay a player to stop playing or have an injury to tilt the game one way or another, which I witnessed happen this past season, why give a shit?
So, I tell my kids, don't get invested in any team but your own or the one you're on. Unless this god awful oligarchy is on your side (and they never are) best to ignore it and not waste your money taking an interest in them. Focus on what and who you love and forget the rest. You'll be much happier, I promise.
